Shankhamita pursued her passion and initiative leaving behind the mundane 9-5 jobs. Her different definition of success let her climb the ladder of her own venture and never looked back.

The co-founder Mrs Shankhamita Das shares her journey in a crux “I was little sceptical about dropping a full-time job of corporate and setting up a startup however I dared to take the step forward by taking a risk in 2014. Initially started with Saree reselling and gradually became a wholesaler in South Indian and proud owner of Poroma Boutique. Then thought of working on a different vertical which is into Event Management. So started Glamorous Events and Occasions in Partnership with My Mother-in-Law, Mrs Chandrani Das. We are operating pan India including destination weddings. Though it’s not an easy journey for us but it’s fulfilling”

She feels glad to mention about her supportive family and her mother-in-law Mrs Chandrani Das whose love and blessings encouraged her to spread her wings and now both being the driving force of the business has embarked upon the journey of entrepreneurship. They are not just inspiring but enduring and motivational that possess the tenacity to handle all kinds of situations in times of change.

Though Shankhamita’s journey was never smooth and straightforward but she chose to take her foundational guiding principles and translate them into a company of her own.
