Gopal was born on March 19, 1983 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. After the untimely passing of his father, Gopal was forced to contend with difficult financial circumstances. The task of providing for the family was taken on by his mother, Rukmani Devi Ramesh Chand Baghel. Gopal's determination to succeed academically remained unshaken in spite of the challenges he faced. In Agra, he received his primary and secondary education at Ratanmuni Junior School and Raja Balwant Singh Junior High School. Additionally, he received his secondary education at 10th Class MD JAIN INTER COLLEGE AGRA and 12th Ch. Biri Singh INTER COLLEGE, dayalbagh Agra. These institutions provided him with the education necessary to lay the groundwork for his future endeavours.

Gopal's desire to further his education prompted him to participate in the Bachelor of Commerce programme at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University in Agra, which he completed between the years 2001 and 2004 to get his degree. During this time, Gopal encountered a number of obstacles, but he did not allow them to dissuade him from his pursuit of knowledge. It was by working in gift shops and cosmetic stores as well as engaging in door-to-door sales of cosmetic products that he was able to acquire valuable hands-on expertise.

Gopal started working with KS Oils Ltd. at Morena in the year 2008 and remained there until 2011. In 2013, he also opened up his own school known as "The Ambience of Professional Accountants," which later went on to become an authorised training partner for Indian Idol Academy. Gopal's enthusiasm for teaching prompted him to create Tally Education, where he eventually mentored more than five hundred students and helped them find employment.

Gopal's experience as an entrepreneur continued when, between the years 2011 and 2018, he worked as an Accounts Officer for the Monalisa Group. During this time, he established the Mirock India Retail Limited in 2016, as well as the College Sports Premier League Limited in 2015. Gopal's lifelong commitment to the fields of education and athletics bore fruit when, in October 2021, he founded the Council of College Sports Premier League in India. This non-governmental organisation was recognised by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Gopal Dash Baghel is internationally recognised for his concept of developing a nationwide tournament comparable to the ICC, the Olympic Games, and other sports leagues. Baghel is the originator of the Council of College Sports Premier League in India (CSPL), which has since gained widespread recognition. Gopal's career has spanned close to 19 years, and during that time, he has demonstrated his ability in the areas of finance and accounting by making major contributions to the organisations with which he has been affiliated.
